Immunity Soda

Immunity boosting wellness soda is made with some powerful ingredients. Think: ginger, turmeric, lemon, and raw honey. Since the soda undergoes fermentation, fermentation makes the powerful ingredients even more bioavailable, so your body is able to absorb more of the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals found in ginger and turmeric.

To make our homemade sodas, we use something called a ginger bug. It’s an essential ingredient that will kickstart the fermentation process. It’s also full of probiotics, which helps support gut health.

Ingredients

15 grams of turmeric root, chopped
15 grams of ginger root, chopped
1/3 – 1/2 cup honey
1/2 a lemon, juiced
3/4 cup active ginger bug
2 1/4 cups filtered water

Instructions

  1. Blend your turmeric, ginger, honey, lemon juice, and 1 cup of water in a blender until smooth.
  2. Add your ginger bug to your swing top bottle, followed by your blended turmeric/ginger mixture
  3. Add the rest of the water, mix and then taste test. Add more honey if needed, depending how sweet you want your soda to be. Keep in mind some of the honey will be eaten up by the ginger bug during fermentation, so make your soda slightly sweeter than what you want your final soda to be.
  4. Let it ferment at room temperature for 2-5 days until it is carbonated and fizzy. Be sure to burp your bottles every day to release pressure.
  5. Chill and then enjoy!
